Basic Hands-on Genealogy with Alan Doyle Horbal, genealogist.

Class meets October 15, 22, and 29, and November 12 and 19.

Outline and instruction on researching the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 U.S. Census. Discover how to find your ancestors’ emigration to the U.S. using stevemorse.org and ellisisland.org, along with several other databases. Discover how to search for family members outside of the U.S. using familysearch.org.  We will explore England, Canada, Poland, and other countries. All students must have an email account and be computer literate. Limited space.

We ask that you attend all five classes. You may bring your own laptop or use a library one for the 2-4pm class. You MUST bring your own device for the 5:15-7pm class. Laptops will not be available.
